Join CMG’s Consulting services to expand and lead various consulting business lines in the Energy Industry. As the Manager of Consulting & Professional Services, you will manage the global oil & gas consulting operations, drive growth strategies, and ensure the financial success of the group. Your role includes developing high-performance teams in reservoir engineering, production engineering, geology & geophysics, and energy transition. You will provide tailored solutions from project conceptualization to implementation and collaborate with other business units as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Expand CMG’s consulting brand in reserves, reservoir simulation, production engineering, geology, geophysics, and energy transition services.
  • Collaborate with regional sales teams to identify business development opportunities and build a consulting pipeline.
  • Oversee the delivery of multiple consulting projects, ensuring quality and adherence to professional practices.
  • Facilitate communication and resource sharing between offices and business units.
  • Meet financial targets, manage profitability, and own the P&L for the global consulting business.
  • Identify client problems, propose solutions, and support the development of new consulting offerings.
  • Participate in proposal development and create tailored methodologies for clients.
  • Foster a performance culture that delivers quality solutions on time and within budget.
  • Drive innovation in cost-competitive consulting services.
  • Support business development through conferences, direct activities, and client relationship building.
  • Recruit, train, and coach consulting team members.
  • Communicate strategies and performance to senior management.
  • Ensure continuous professional development for the team through performance discussions and training assessments.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for marketing initiatives, white papers, and conference presentations.

Education
Bachelor or Masters degree in Petroleum, Chemical or related engineering degree

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Knowledge & Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of strategy, operations, and technology in oil and gas consulting services.
  • Subject matter expertise in one or more areas: reservoir engineering, simulation, reserves studies, CCS & CCUS, geothermal, or production engineering.
  • Recognized industry leader in oil and gas consulting services.
  • Proven leadership in managing consulting groups and full P&L responsibilities.
  • Ability to establish credibility with clients through expertise and knowledge.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership and business development capabilities.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Strong drive to succeed, outgoing personality, and a desire to grow and manage a consulting business.
  • Excellent communication, mentoring, and collaboration skills.
  • Professional certifications relevant to the oil and gas industry (e.g., APEGA, PMP, PE) are a plus.
  • Be customer focused, learn about the business to help bring value to our customers
  • Team focused with a positive attitude, must be self-motivated, and have very good time management and communication skills both in written and verbal English.

Experience

  • Minimum 15 years of international experience in oil and gas consulting and engineering studies.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing diverse technical teams.
