Thanh Nguyen is a Staff Reservoir Simulation Engineer at CMG. He has more than 19 years industrial experience in the area of reservoir engineering and modeling. He is also a senior course instructor of geomechanics, history matching, optimization, probabilistic forecasting, conventional/unconventional reservoirs, CO2 EOR, PVT phase behavior. Previously, he also held reservoir engineer lead position with BP / PetroVietnam.

Mr Nguyen’s current interest is in the area of hydraulic fracturing, geomechanics and complex fracture networks, unconventional shale gas tight oil. Mr Nguyen holds a MS degree from Colorado School of Mines in petroleum engineering and a MS degree from the University of Tulsa in Reservoir Engineering. He has authored/co-authored a number of technical papers, given technical presentations and short courses in the university and industry.
