This course will be taught from Kuala Lumpur. Learn various facets of Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) by CO2 injection in a miscible flood process. The course introduces the PVT data creation method for miscible floods using the GEM simulator. After constructing a base 3D compositional model, you will evaluate different EOR methods including water flooding, miscible CO2 flooding and water-alternating gas (WAG).

Pouria, a Staff Reservoir Simulation Engineer, has 18 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, working at a national oil company and conducting research. He specializes in oil and gas field development and IOR/EOR, particularly WAG, chemical and CO2 injection. Pouria’s heavy oil expertise includes thermal recovery processes, steam flooding, CSS and SAGD. Pouria holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Heat and Fluid from Guilan University, Iran, a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Conversion from Shiraz University, Iran, and a PhD in Petroleum Engineering from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia.
