October 2 and 3, 2023 - 9:00am to 4:00pm MDT (GMT-6)
Learn the basics of reservoir simulation and how to build a black oil simulation model using the latest pre-processing and post-processing technology available for CMG simulators. Importing basic raw data such as geological data, PVT data, core analysis, production data, and completion events into Builder to create a complete dataset, initially for IMEX. Perform a manual history match and create prediction scenarios.

Tuesday, 3 October, 2023 - 09:00 to 16:00

Rita Fazlyeva, a Reservoir Simulation Engineer, became a part of CMG in 2022, bringing with her an extensive background in Petroleum Engineering and Geology. She has earned a PhD in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Calgary in Canada, where her research focused on In Situ Combustion (ISC) of heavy oil in carbonates. Additionally, Rita holds Master's degrees in Stratigraphy and Geochemistry from Kazan Federal University and in Petroleum Engineering from Skoltech, Russia. Her areas of expertise encompass thermal recovery processes such as Solvent-aided SAGD and ISC, hydrogen production, reservoir geochemistry, and integrated production system modeling (IPSM).
