Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

Computer Modeling Group (CMG) is seeking a high-performing Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead group-level reporting, forecasting, and performance analysis. This role will play a key part in driving visibility into CMG’s financial and operational results, preparing the CEO and CFO for quarterly earnings and board meetings, and ensuring consistent, insightful communication of business performance.

The ideal candidate combines analytical depth with executive storytelling, strong business judgment, and a passion for helping leaders understand and act on the financial narrative behind the numbers.

Key Responsibilities

Group-Level Financial Reporting and Forecasting

  • Lead monthly group reporting and forecasting across financial results and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Prepare concise, executive-level narratives that clearly communicate business performance, drivers, and implications for future periods.
  • Consolidate results from corporate and business units into impactful reporting packages that highlight key insights, risks, and opportunities.
  • Partner closely with Segment Finance Leaders to ensure accuracy, alignment, and timeliness of monthly results and forecasts.

 

Quarterly Earnings Preparation

  • Support the CEO and CFO in preparing for quarterly earnings releases, investor calls, and analyst interactions.
  • Develop key messages, financial highlights, and supporting analyses that align internal performance with external disclosure.
  • Collaborate with Investor Relations and Communications to ensure a consistent and compelling external narrative.

 

Quarterly and Board Reporting

  • Lead the consolidation of quarterly reporting highlights and performance narratives for executive and board materials.
  • Develop clear, visual summaries that connect operational outcomes to CMG’s financial and strategic priorities.
  • Coordinate preparation of materials for Board of Directors meetings in partnership with the CFO and finance leadership team.

 

KPI Consistency and Communication

  • Establish and maintain consistency of key financial and operational metrics across reporting and forecasting.
  • Work with business unit and segment finance leaders to ensure that key performance indicators are clearly communicated, understood, and actioned by the CFO and CEO.
  • Partner with leaders to define, measure, and communicate KPIs that best represent business health and strategic progress.

 

Financial Literacy and Leadership Training

  • Design and deliver a Finance Bootcamp and case study program for internal leaders to strengthen understanding of financial metrics and business performance.
  • Translate financial data into actionable insights that improve decision-making and alignment across teams.

 

Investment Performance Tracking

  • Maintain and enhance CMG’s investment performance tracker, monitoring ROI, IRR, and payback across major initiatives and acquisitions.
  • Collaborate with business and integration teams to evaluate post-investment results and share insights with executive leadership.

 

Strategic and Ad Hoc Analysis

  • Conduct ad hoc analyses and scenario modeling to support CFO, CEO, and Board-level decision-making.
  • Support strategic finance initiatives tied to forecasting accuracy, capital allocation, and M&A performance.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or management consulting, ideally in a global or technology-focused environment.
  • Strong technical expertise in forecasting, performance reporting, and financial modeling.
  • A balance of analytical depth and storytelling — you can take complex data and craft a clear, compelling narrative for senior audiences.
  • Experience preparing board and earnings materials for executive and board-level presentations in a public company setting.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; familiarity with Workiva, NetSuite, or Power BI is an asset.
  • CPA, CFA, or MBA designation preferred.
