Ed Chow

General Manager, SeisWare

As a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan with a BSc in Geological Engineering, Ed’s journey into the energy industry started at Western Atlas processing seismic data. He later joined Geco-Prakla, where he met Murray Brack, Co-founder of SeisWare. After a few stints working together, Murray and Ed started up Blue Castle Corp (BCC), a software support and service company. It was there that they started working with Zokero, the developers of SeisWare Interpretation Software. BCC and Zokero later merged to create SeisWare International Inc.

Ed now serves as SeisWare’s General Manager, but throughout his tenure he has held a broad range of leadership responsibilities, including overseeing the Support, Quality Assurance, and Business Development teams. Always involved in the geophysics community, Ed spent two years as chair/co-chair of the Chief Geophysicist’s Forum as well as serving on the Geoconvention board. Ed is a co-founder of the Geophysicist’s Leadership Forum, which focuses on developing the leadership skills of manager-level geophysicists.

When Ed isn’t working, he tries to stay fit as he loves to eat! He also travels to wherever he can find delicious food. In between he tries to keep up with his 10-year-old grandson and not get clobbered in his fantasy sports leagues.
