Mathieu Socqué

As Vice President, Legal at Computer Modelling Group, a TSX-listed reservoir and seismic software company operating in more than 70 countries with subsidiaries across nine jurisdictions, Mathieu provides strategic legal leadership and trusted counsel to the Board of Directors and management.

His responsibilities span TSX rules and Canadian securities laws, enterprise risk management, global commercial contracting, intellectual property strategy and protection, international regulatory compliance, disputes and litigation, mergers and acquisitions, employment and labour matters, subsidiary governance, and global legal operations.

Mathieu completed an LL.B. in Civil Law at Université Laval in 2001 and an LL.B. in Common Law at the University of Ottawa in 2005. He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Administrative and Regulatory Law from Université Laval and completed the Professional Education Program of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec through the Accounting Department at Université du Québec en Outaouais in 2012.

Mathieu has also authored two peer-reviewed articles in the field of administrative and regulatory law. He is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the Law Society of Ontario and the Barreau du Québec.
