Senior Product Manager

CMG is seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our Product Management team. This is a full-time, permanent position. Lead the successful launch of new products for oil and gas production and reservoir engineering applications. This integral position requires understanding of sub-surface to surface integration technologies, collaboration with technology leaders, defining product roadmaps, and active participation in user conferences to bolster adoption and market presence. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of P&L management, exceptional sales acumen, and superior communication skills, both written and verbal.

Key Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will work as part of the Product Management team, under the direction of a Head of Product.
    • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends and customer needs in the oil and gas sector, particularly in production and reservoir engineering.
    • Participate in the product development phase, overseeing the creation and refinement of new and/or existing products.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to conduct rigorous testing and quality assurance, ensuring the product meets industry standards and client requirements.
    • Develop a robust go-to-market strategy, including positioning, pricing, and promotional tactics for successful product introduction.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to design comprehensive marketing collateral and sales enablement tools to support the sales team and engage potential clients.
    • Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to market release and ongoing performance evaluation.
      • Create and maintain product roadmap from Market and R&D requirements till the end of life in line with CMG strategy and product management practices.
      • Collaborate closely with technology leaders to define a comprehensive roadmap for our product portfolio, aligning with market demands and corporate objectives.
      • Communicate progress against the product roadmap and inform stakeholders of updates through Product Reviews.
    • Demonstrate a strong grasp of P&L management to drive product profitability and implement competitive pricing strategies effectively.
    • Utilize exceptional business development skills to enhance product uptake and cultivate strategic partnerships with key clients.
    • Organize and preside over user conferences, fostering meaningful engagement with key stakeholders, obtaining feedback, and driving product adoption.
    • Serve as the face of CMG at industry conferences, delivering keynote speeches or presentations to showcase our expertise and product innovations.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Education

A bachelor’s or master’s degree

Knowledge & Skills

  • A good understanding of upstream oil and gas technologies.
  • Outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to represent the company at prominent industry     events.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technology leaders to define and execute product roadmaps.
  • Be customer focused, learn about the business to help bring value to our customers
  • Team focused with a positive attitude, must be self-motivated, and have very good time management and communication skills both in written and verbal English.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of prior experience in B2B Product Management profile is required
  • Experience in launching new software products for the Oil and Gas industry.
