People are our most valuable asset.

The Senior Cloud Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-native applications and infrastructure, primarily within Amazon Web Services (AWS), while supporting Azure-based solutions where required.

As a senior member of a collaborative and highly technical team, you will contribute across the entire software lifecycle, from architecture and development through deployment, modernization, and operational support. You will play a key role in delivering scalable cloud solutions, modernizing existing applications, maintaining infrastructure as code, and supporting customer deployments.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working across application development, cloud engineering, DevOps, and platform operations while helping shape the future of CMG’s cloud technology stack.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain cloud-native applications and services.
  • Develop and enhance web applications using React and Node.js.
  • Build backend services, APIs, automation tools, and integrations using Node.js and Python.
  • Participate in solution architecture and technical design discussions.
  • Conduct code reviews and promote software engineering best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, performance issues, and production incidents.
  • Design, provision, and maintain AWS-based infrastructure.
  • Support Azure cloud deployments and services as required.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform and OpenTofu.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
  • Implement secure, scalable, and resilient cloud architectures.
  • Deploy and manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Monitor application and infrastructure performance, availability, and security.
  • Create and maintain customer deployments within cloud environments.
  • Develop operational procedures, deployment standards, and technical documentation.
  • Upgrade application frameworks, libraries, infrastructure components, and dependencies.
  • Address security vulnerabilities and support continuous platform modernization.
  • Contribute to technical architecture decisions and strategic platform initiatives.
  • Mentor and support junior and intermediate developers.
  • Promote engineering best practices across development, testing, deployment, automation, and operations.

Note: This description reflects the general nature of the role. Itโ€™s not a complete list of responsibilitiesโ€”we believe in flexibility, initiative, and growing together.

  • Experience with Terraform and/or OpenTofu for Infrastructure as Code.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application deployment.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD practices and Azure DevOps pipelines.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking, cloud security, identity and access management, and monitoring solutions.
  • Experience supporting microservices architectures and distributed cloud applications.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Developer, or DevOps Engineer) are considered an asset.
