Junior QA Engineer

People are our most valuable asset.

We are looking for a Junior QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, accuracy, and performance of advanced reservoir simulation software. You will work closely with software developers and reservoir engineers to validate scientific applications through automated and manual testing, CI/CD integration, performance analysis, and continuous quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated and manual test suites for scientific applications
  • Create functional, integration, regression, and performance tests
  • Develop and maintain reusable test automation frameworks, utilities, and test data
  • Review requirements and user stories to ensure test coverage and identify risks
  • Prepare test plans, test cases, traceability documentation, and release reports
  • Test applications across Windows, Linux, and HPC environments, including MPI/OpenMP workloads
  • Perform performance, scalability, stress, and regression testing while identifying memory, concurrency, and numerical issues
  • Monitor CI/CD pipelines, investigate build and test failures, and collaborate with developers on root-cause analysis
  • Track defects and quality metrics using Azure DevOps and promote QA best practices throughout the SDLC

Note: This description reflects the general nature of the role. Itโ€™s not a complete list of responsibilitiesโ€”we believe in flexibility, initiative, and growing together.

  • Experience with test reporting, code coverage, and quality analysis tools
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills

Professional Skills

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating within cross-functional teams
  • Commitment to continuous learning and process improvement

Preferred Qualifications

  • Programming experience in C++, C#, or Fortran
  • Knowledge of reservoir simulation, numerical methods, subsurface engineering, or the energy industry
  • Experience with MPI, OpenMP, HPC schedulers (Slurm/PBS/LSF), and numerical validation
  • Familiarity with debugging and diagnostic tools (e.g., Valgrind, AddressSanitizer, ThreadSanitizer, GDB, Visual Studio Debugger)
  • Experience with QA dashboards, Power BI, or AI-assisted testing and quality automation
